On July 18th, NAGAOKA and National Center for Water Resources Planning and Investigation (NAWAPI), a State Organization under the Vietnam Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE) co-organized a Workshop on "Water Exploitation and Treatment Technology" in Hanoi, Vietnam.
This Workshop provided valuable information of the current water resources in Vietnam as well as suitable and sustainable method for water exploitation and treatment. It attracted much attention from many Vietnamese public and private sectors who are working in water intake and water treatment fields. The Workshop had press coverage by Vietnam Television Corporation (VTC).
About 60 people attended in the Workshop including delegates of MONRE; executive officers of NAWAPI's nation-wide branches from Northern Division, Central Division, and Southern Division; delegates from Department of Natural Resources and Environmental of Bac Ninh City, Vinh Phuc City, Hai Duong City, Ha Giang City, Thai Nguyen City, Lang Son City, Hoa Binh City; delegates from Hanoi University of Civil Engineering, University of Mining and Geological, University of Natural Resources and Environment; and delegates from Vietnam Geology and Hydrology Association.
18 presentations were given in the Workshop, providing various information about current status of groundwater storage capacity, groundwater exploitation, groundwater quality in Vietnam's nationwide, and NAGAOKA water intake technologies, groundwater treatment technology CHEMILES, and high speed seawater intake technology HiSIS. In addition, there were valuable discussions on current development of Vietnam's water resources and potential application of our technologies, making a productive Workshop.
After the Workshop, NAGAOKA and NAWAPI signed Cooperation Agreement and Mutual Non-disclosure Agreement to strengthen the partnership on implementation of water intake and water treatment projects in Vietnam.
