On July 24, 2015, Nagaoka concluded Memorandum of Understanding with VIWASE (Vietnam Water, Sanitation and Environment Joint stock company). In VIWASE, about 350 employee are developing business in designing, planning, and research on water resource.
Since 1969, VIWASE the leading consultant company in Vietnam has executed many projects such as JICA, World Bank, and Asia Development Bank projects.
In Hanoi, underground water is the dominant water source today, though, Hanoi is looking to increase the water supply from surface water resource for the future demand. VIWASE is interested in our shallow well technology to collect river-bed water, which is new technology trial in Vietnam, and our underground water treatment technology "CHEMILES" which can remove high volume of iron, manganese, and ammonia nitrogen without chemicals, With combination of underground water intake, VIWASE is expecting reduce the surface water treatment costs.
Nagaoka will contribute to the water problem in Vietnam by cooperating with VIWASE.
