On April 14th, 2017, NAGAOKA welcomed the mission of Ho Chi Minh City at Tsuda water treatment plant in Kaizuka city where our extremely high speed chemical-less groundwater treatment system “CHEMILES” has been installed. This program was arranged for and took a place at the same time as Japan Visit of Mr. H.E Dinh La Thang (Member of Politburo of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee)and a total of 35 delegates including Mr. Le Thanh Liem, First Deputy Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee as a Deputy Head of Delegation and delegates from the People’s Committee, public corporations, newspaper publishers and TV stations, participated in the tour to Tsuda water treatment plant.
In the welcome ceremony, Kaizuka Mayor Fujiwara and Vice Mayor Hatano gave a warm speech and recognition to CHEMILES’s contribution to safe and reliable water supply in Kaizuka city. Ho Chi Minh City First Deputy Chairman Le Thanh Liem also mentioned an importance of adopting effective and low operational cost technologies such as CHEMILES to develop water supply in Ho Chi Minh City in his speech and agreed on a further corporation between Nagaoka and Saigon Water Corporation (hereinafter called SAWACO).
Nagaoka already completed a CHEMILES pilot study in SAWACO’s Tan Phu water treatment plant from December 2015 to November 2016 and confirmed its performance in the site.
The mission included SAWACO’s deputy general director, therefore, we believe that it was a good opportunity to promote a deeper understanding of CHEMILES through the visit of Tsuda water treatment plant, the actual site that CHEMILES is applied to improve water quality and reduce operation cost.
